Surabaya is the most beautiful and gentle Thoroughbred you could imagine. At her Hanoverian mare classification under Frederick Jahncke (President of the Hanoverian Verband) she received a three 9’s including a 9 for her Breed type. A really elegant mare and she has proven that she can reproduce this many times over. She had 4 foals prior to her purchase by Remi Stud, and since then she has had 10 Hanoverian foals. She has produced the following:
· Elite Mare Remi Waltzing Matilda (by Walt Disney (Ger)). A sensational dressage champion and now a sensational broodmare (see website for further details) (see PHOTO). Awarded Australian Champion Hanoverian in 2009, amongst her many wins under saddle and in hand.
· Remi Cruise (Control) (by Carbid (Ger)). Competing successfully in dressage with Bettina Winch.
· Remi Lethal Weapon (also called ‘Under Discussion’ in NZ) (by Lanthan (Ger)) was NZ Young Dressage Horse of the Year with Christine Weal in NZ, and is now a 2 ** eventing champion with Christopher Burton.
· Remi Rockefella (by Rotspon (Ger)). A stunning gelding in the shape of his sensational sire, Rotspon (Ger). Already a multi show Champion and now a Medium and Advanced dressage Champion as well as multiple wins in young rider classes. Owned and ridden by Jane and Issy Veal.
· Remi Roosevelt (by Rotspon (Ger)). The full brother to Rockefella already a Supreme Champion Hack and a successful dressage horse. Owned by Alison Grierson.
· Remi Wells Fargo (by Wyndemere (imp)) decd. Chestnut with a flaxen mane and tail, this elegant and super mover had Looks and movement to burn.
· Elite Mare Remi Wave Sensation (by Whisper (imp)). The exact replica of her mother, and with the movement of her sire. A young mare now owned by Sally Ann Piggott, who recently foaled a beautiful filly, Sienna Fragrance, by Fishermans Friend (imp).
· Elite Mare Remi Love Story (by Lanthan (Ger)). This tall elegant filly is in the style of her half sister EM Remi Waltzing Matilda and has been retained by the Stud. She successfully completed her Mare Performance Test with super scores, and is now an Elite Mare. She is currently in foal to Fishermans Friend (imp)
Remi Florence Nightingale (by Fishermans Friend (imp)). A tall long-legged brown filly with sensational paces. Another star in the making from this wonderful mare! She completed a successful mare performance test in 2011 and is now in foal to Lauries As (imp).
Remi Flaschengeist by Fishermans Friend (imp). Another outstanding brown filly from this beautiful mare. This is her last foal.
