Dr. Wilkens, Managing Director of the German Verband (1982-2006), calls Fabriano
"one of the best performance horse producers of Hannover's breeding program today." (The Hanoverian
December 1999). Champion of the 1990 Stallion Performance Test, placing first in jumping and fourth
in dressage, Fabriano demonstrated his versatility, which is confirmed in his offspring. Fabriano has
the charm and good looks of his Absatz heritage, a particularly good wither and croup. His movements
are rhythmical and flowing with excellent engagement of the hind quarters, a very free shoulder and an
uncomplicated mind. Fabriano's daughters showed excellent scores in all categories of the Hanoverian
Mare Inspections and Mare Performance Tests, with breeding values of 115 for dressage and 118 for
jumping. He has already produced 15 licensed sons and 120 State Premium Mares. His daughter St
Pr St Fenjala was awarded Champion Mare at the prestigious Ratje-Niebuhr Show in 2002. His
performance offspring have also performed well in both dressage and jumping, up to grand prix level in both
disciplines, giving Fabriano excellent breeding scores in both areas (125 for dressage and 109 for
jumping). He is the sire of the sensational stallion Fishermans Friend (imported to Australia in 2005) who
is the 2008 Australia Prix St George Dressage Champion and is now competing at Grand
Prix.
