REMI STUD DESIGNER FOAL PROGRAM
“Create your own Champion”
Due to the global economic downturn, we, like many other breeders,
have decided to reduce the number of foals we will produce this year. So for the first time, and possibly
the onl
y time, we are offering a Designer Foal Program using our wonderful broodmares to
be bred to the stallion of your choice. This is an opportunity for breeders
to obtain genetics that otherwise would only be available if you imported a mare
from Europe.
OUR MARES: All our
mares are registered in the Hanoverian Studbook and include 12 Elite Mares/Elite Mare Candidates. Nowhere else
in Australia will you find such a wonderful selection of Hanoverian broodmares to choose from. We have mares
sired by De Niro, Wolkenstein II, Walt Disney, Anamour, Fishermans Friend, Lanthan, Brentano II, Weltmeyer,
Sandro Hit, Rotspon and Locksley II, as well as 2 young fillies by Lauries As available. Some of these mares
will be available to carry the foal themselves, while others will only be available for Embryo Transfer foals.
If you wish to use a mare that is to carry the foal, then only one foal will be available from this mare this
season, therefore the first to book her will own the foal. All donor mares will remain at Remi
Stud.
RECIPIENT MARES:
Recipient mares can either be transported to your property or stay here on agistment until the foal is weaned,
and can either be purchased or leased for the year.
OUR STALLIONS: You
can choose to breed to either of our two imported stallions, Fishermans Friend and Lauries As, and we will
offer you a discounted service fee which includes a Live Foal Guarantee, or you can breed to a frozen semen
stallion of your choice, or even to your own stallion.
VETERINARY: All
breeding work is undertaken by us on farm, and the embryo flush/transfers are performed in conjunction with the
reproduction experts, Oakey Veterinary Hospital. Veterinary costs will apply as if it was your own
mare.
INSURANCE: Unborn
Foal Insurance can be arranged for you with Logan Livestock Insurance Agency if required. This cover is from
the 45 day pregnancy test to 30 days of age for the foal and some restrictions do apply. We highly recommend
this.
OUR GOAL: Is for you to create your own champion from normally unavailable
genetics. We are making our valuable broodmares available for this season with the aim that you can create your
own designer foal, by breeding a mare of your choice to a stallion of your choice. Nothing is more beautiful
that a newborn foal, especially one of your own design!! Your ultimate mare can be booked for the 2012/13
